Orientation of Newcomers
The academic year began on 9th June 2017 for the first year students with a four day orientation. Besides staff from the college, there were outside resource persons. While Fr. Martin SJ from the Indian Social Institute spoke on the need for public concern in the context of migration and displacement of people, Sri Achaiah, a human resource development expert highlighted the need for motivation and ways and means of reaching one’s goals. Leon, an environmental activist shared on the urgent need of taking care of planet earth and how students can intervene. Sri Bansy Kalappa helped the group to dream big, realize their dreams by discovering meaning for their lives. On the final days students in groups presented their experiences of the four days through charts, songs and skits. We had sessions on the goals and objectives of the college and on St. Aloysius, the patron of the College. It was a very intense and meaningful introduction to the college.
