Tinkerama Conducted Arduino Workshop for BCA students
Tinkerama conducted an Arduino Theremin workshop on September 23rd, for BCA students (10.30 am to 4.30 pm) at St. Aloysius Degree College. The Theremin is a musical instrument that you play without touching it! The students made an electronic version of the musical instrument, Theremin using an Arduino development board.

Making it with an Arduino required learning basics of electronics, and some programming as well yet students did very well; following through the logical steps of the workshop, they first started with a simple project and made an LED blink, then controlled the blink rate. They progressively worked from there and went on to complete the final Theremin project. They had fun playing it at the end of the workshop!

The workshop was conducted by Smitha Pisupati, an engineer and avid tinkerer, who has a Masters degree in Electronics Design from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and over 10 years of industry experience in the semiconductor field. She has started Tinkerama, a venture to teach electronics that stands for Learning by Making.
